A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chief Estates Officer to join Exceed Academies Trust. We require a dedicated and passionate Chief Estates Officer to join our talented and hard-working team.

This post requires strategic vision, management expertise and practical experience to lead, manage, maintain and enhance the Trust’s estate and provide a wide range of services across the organisation.

The post holder will take technical and managerial responsibility for the Trust’s estate, currently compromised of 6 sites of varying size, condition and construction. The Chief Estates Officer will act as a key stakeholder in shaping and coordinating the Trust’s investment of available capital resource.

If you have experience working within schools, academies or local authorities to manage buildings across a number of sites and have the skills and knowledge to develop long term asset management strategies, we want to hear from you.

Purpose and Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will work constructively with the Chief Operating Officer in pursuit of the Trust’s objectives and fulfilment of its plans
    To manage all aspects of the Trust’s estate
    To provide long – term comprehensive and integrated resource planning for the Trust
    To provide effective management of Estates and Facilities employees
    To provide effective leadership and management of health, safety and environmental matters for the Trust
    To report to the COO and advise the Trust on budgetary, strategic and major operational Estates and Facilities Management matters
    To advise on the formulation of the academies annual budgets and capital investment
    The role will initially be based at the Trust Head Office (Exceed Academies Trust c/o Horton Park Primary School) and will involve regular travel between sites.

Exceed Academies Trust is an expanding Multi-Academy Trust based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. We currently have five academies in our Trust; four primary schools and an all-through primary to secondary school. We are going through a period of expansion and we will have a number of additional schools in the near future.  We employ over 500 staff and our core educational vision is to provide an outstanding school experience for all. Our schools aim to be inclusive, high achieving and ones in which our learners, staff and the wider community strive to ‘see what’s possible’.
