Some AI tools allow users to upload the content they wish the model to be 'expert' on, rather than relying on the broader content it has been trained on. Users can upload trusted PDFs and YouTube video links for the AI to consider when replying. This can be useful for specific projects you may be working on.

NotebookLM

Google's NotebookLM acts as a personal or shared Large Language Model (LLM) trained on the documents, text and YouTube videos the user uploads or links to. It works well for projects where you need to understand the content of specific files. For example, you might want to add links to the Ofsted curriculum research reviews and EEF guidance reports to NotebookLM to help you explore key aspects of provision you are seeking to develop.

NotebookLM can produce a frequently-asked questions document based on the content you add, and more. It can even create an audio file (like a podcast) where the content or the specific files you select are discussed.

Projects

ChatGPT has added a similar feature to NotebookLM, called Projects, to it's Plus plans.

Agents

Agents can be created in Microsoft 365 Copilot Plus accounts. For schools and trusts that use Microsoft as their ecosystem, this provides a useful tool which can utilise the files and folders stored in your SharePoint. A user with a Plus account can share the agent with other users who do not have a Pro account. These are very similar to the Custom GPTs we have created; see Step 4 of our AI resources.

Aila (AI Lesson Assistant)

Oak National Academy has created Aila, an AI-powered tool for lesson planning and resource creation. Although the user doesn't upload content to the model like the examples above, they can tell Aila about the lesson they are planning to receive tailored support.
