Reducing Workload Utilising Artificial Intelligence

Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools have the potential to reduce leader, teacher and support staff workload. Exceed Academies Trust’s ‘Reducing Workload Utilising Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy’ sets out our ambition to achieve this.

As an outward facing, system leading trust, Exceed Academies Trust has created resources to help the education workforce to begin to utilise Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) to reduce workload.

Our Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Acceptable Use Guidance underpin our resources. Users must be familiar with these before using AI. Equally, it would be wrong not to consider the environmental impact of using Artificial Intelligence. Users are encouraged to be aware of the reported impact, including as set out here by the United Nations Environmental Program.

We are sharing our strategy plus providing access to resources for those who are taking their first steps with AI, plus resources for those who are ready for next steps beyond the basics. In addition, we've developed [potentially] powerful but easy to use GPTs to help school and trust staff to tackle specific issues and tasks.

Beyond our Strategy page, our resources come in four progressive sections:

  1. Taking Your First Steps To Reduce Workload With AI
  2. Taking Generative AI Further to Reduce Workload
  3. Personal AI models for projects and planning
  4. [Potentially] Powerful, Easy To Use Custom GPTs

You can access these in order or jump in at a higher level depending on your readiness to engage with AI.

We want these resources to inspire your use of GenAI to reduce your workload pressure points whilst not compromising the quality of your work. But, they have to be used with caution.
